Really well done, it also kinda feels like an ambient song. I personally would have used a bass that came out more but I like all the effort you put into this.

Well Done

There were some glitches in it, volume would randomly drop and at around 1:40 the buildup didnt really suit the song much :P

Amazingly catchy and i love the fast pacing of it, I normally kill myself when i work with something over 140bpm.

I like it :D

Awesome

This has an awesome feel to it and the tunes are really catchy, I loved all the effects you put in and everything runs smoothly :D

The main instrument i think is a bit high, still good, but if there's a reason i wont keep listening to the song is cuz the screech starts to hurt after a bit lol, just feels a bit harsh.

But wow, this is an awesome song, I have trouble making something this catchy keep it up!

I've always loved the epic genre but i could never get the right instruments... What are you using? those strings are very good, defenitely something that isnt with FL

Haha, hate to disappoint you, but this is 100% FL. I just managed to amass a decent enough selection of soundfonts to make this possible. The one I'm most happy with is the choir, I believe it's the perfect choir soundfont, but maybe that's just me. As for making epic music, you might want to check out the audio forum, there was a discussion/advice thread about a month ago that was centered on what makes music sound epic, I think it's very useful.

I wont go as in depth as i usually do since im a bit busy, but i loved the feel of everything except the bass drum. I despise that bass drum. Too overpowering and i feel like the melody was cringing along with me every time that drum hit.

Well if this is an experiment, then it certainly turned out better than my experiments lol

i feel like such an ass for giving you a 9 after the five 10's under me, but before you hate me i dont give tens unless i fall off my seat or just zone out to another world. You were almost there though i felt goosebumps halfway through.

If anything though it felt a bit too fast. But the effort you put into this song is so apparent and i shit my pants when i saw that you had 64 patterns and 99% usage.

Ok, in the beginning you need to come out with more echo or just louder on the strings or whatever it is playing the melody and quiet down on the pads then slowly blend them in like you did later on. That's just me i like epic beginnings :D

hmm... i cant find anything else wrong with this song besides the fact that IT"S TOO FAST. hahaha your melody sounds real catchy but i can barely hear what's going on. I liked the 'birds' you put at 1:35, way to slow things down lol.

I still admire your mastery of synths. Must feel nice being free from presets ;)

I'll admit I still use presets but I do make a ton of my basses. I'm not big on making my pads, I can do it and did it for a few in this song but I have yet to create a unique pad. Personally I won't listen to this song anymore. I just don't really like it. I listened to it and just spent too much time on it. It is too fast and I was just trying to challenge myself to see if I could.

I'm not going to go for that BPM again just way to fast and hard to make a song. I like to practice and at the time I was listening to fast stuff so I thought hey why not. Now I see the not and what I won't be doing again.

i like

i just like the overall feel of this song, not much else to say, my only critique would be the bass line it just didnt 'fit' with the airy an epic melody.

Im impressed you managed to keep track of 40 patterns i usually feel like shooting myself when i have over 15, just gets too confusing and i lose track of what i've made and what i havent.

You obviously have a lot of experience making synths, i dont know if you remember from last time i reviewed one of you songs but i still have gotten nowhere with sytrus :)

Any tips?

Anyways awesome song, I think i might just add you to favorite artists.

Well with Sytrus study the presets that are already made. Make minor adjustments from them and build synthes like that. Once you know the basics of the synthe you can move on to starting from scratch (Default) and work your way up to more unique synthes.

Making synthes is enjoyable if you know the basics of how to get a certain sound. Overtime you will create more advanced synthes but start off basic and move up from there.

i love these kinds of songs, there so hard to come by.
The samples you used were also really original. A way you can add personality to a drum beat song is by putting stops into it, and also a good way is to throw in wild cards, you know just throw something completely random into and sudden, then suddenly go back to what you had before.

Yeah, I really had to fight my way through Hydrogen to make this, especially since most samples are... hm... insufficient (e.g. hi-toms sound as though someone is trying to teach a badly grown watermelon to tap-dance). Anyway, I already have a bazillion half-done songs in MIDI (actually written in Guitar Pro 4) that I hope to transpose to FL if I get my hands on it in the next week or so.
